Day 9 -- The Seaplane Adventure

Having landed in Watson Lake, and not wanting to spend another $50 for a round trip taxi ride into the city itself, the IFR Pilot had a "better" idea. Let's take a ride on a seaplane. Sure, it'll be about four times as expensive, but more likely a whole heck of a lot more fun than riding in the back of a cab.

And it was! Words would not do it justice, so instead, I'll just let you see the pictures for yourself:




















After the ride was over, we headed back to Watson Lake to lay claim to the couches. No problem, no one else arrived. It could be because this appeared in the sky:


The impending downpour caused a couple of local amphibs to hop on over to the airport for a quick tiedown. The IFR Pilot, who is also sharpening his photography skills during this trip, snapped this bad boy just about to land:
